of all the things i love (and there are a lot) top of the list has to be travel and food. i will try almost anything you put in front of me at least once, twice if i like it, and if i ADORE it … well … get ready to pry it from my hands with a crowbar.
now understand … i’m not a food snob. i love southern home cooking just as much as i love a well-prepared gourmet meal. cornbread and brioche are both considered staples in my household. put a glass of homemade wine in front of me alongside a glass of a rare french vintage, and i’m likely to be equally delighted by both. a battered and deep fried snickers bar has the same chance of catching my gastronomical attention as grilled muscovy duck in a raspberry sauce.

so in homage to some of the incredibly great food blogs out there, i am proud to present my “omnivore 100,” a list of 100 things everyone should try at least once. the dishes i’ve tried are in bold purple. my goal is to try everything on the list at least once (travel is a great catalyst for finding awesome food, by the way). why not print out a copy and carry it with you on your travels? who knows? you might find just the right opportunity to to cross a few things off your “culinary bucket list!”
enjoy this little food break, and thanks for letting me share my other well-loved passion!
warmly,
